    Molly Cardio

    President & Co-Founder

    With a background in education and a passion for advocacy, Molly created The Boden Fund with her husband Kellan, in honor of their son after he survived multiple pediatric strokes. Molly is committed to helping other families feel less alone, raise awareness, and fund research that gives kids like Boden a brighter future.

    Kellan Cardio

    Vice President & Co-Founder

    Inspired by his son’s strength after surviving multiple pediatric strokes, Kellan co-founded The Boden Fund alongside his wife Molly. As a father, Kellan is driven to make sure no family walks this path alone—fueling efforts to build awareness, community, and a future filled with better outcomes for kids like Boden.

    Tyler Abely

    Treasurer

    Tyler currently works as a Senior Director at RTX, where he had worked for eight years, largely in strategic planning roles. He holds a B.S. degree from Miami University and an MBA from the University of Connecticut. Tyler lives in Connecticut with his wife, Andie, and two children, who are the same age as the Cardio kids. His wife has been close friends with Molly since childhood and he has known the Cardios for over a decade. He is honored to partake in this opportunity with them.

    Katie Fey, MS CCC-SLP

    Secretary

    As a pediatric Speech-language Pathologist, Katie has worked alongside families for over a decade, helping them navigate the complicated world of healthcare and communication. She had the pleasure of being Boden’s SLP post-stroke as well as a neighbor to the Cardio family. Katie holds a passion for building strong relationships with her patients, their families, and her community and she’s excited for what’s to come with The Boden Fund.

    Bianca Russell, MD

    Director

    As a pediatric geneticist at UCLA, Dr. Russell has dedicated her career to helping families understand, treat, and manage rare disorders like pediatric stroke. She is motivated by the families she serves and has witnessed first hand the power of community and family foundations when it comes to making a difference in the care of their children. She is a long time friend of the Cardios and is inspired by their strength and wisdom during their quest to give Boden the best care possible.
